Our recent escape to Majestic Elegance Punta Cana was nothing short of an adventure—even if the adventure threw in a few quirky twists along the way. As a young couple looking for a mix of romance and thrill, we found plenty to love about this all-inclusive haven. While our trip wasn’t perfect, it left us with memories to laugh about over many frozen drinks (yes, we’re talking about The Majestic—a concoction straight out of an Orange Julius and a Bahama Mama love story).
The Highlights
Nightlife & Beach Adventures
We kicked off our evenings with some spirited nightlife activities. The resort has an upbeat atmosphere where dancing, live music, and fun interactions make the nights feel magical. Daytime adventures weren't any less impressive either. We sped across turquoise waves while jet skiing and soared high parasailing above the beach—each moment offering a fresh perspective on the sparkling coastline.
Dining Delights & Unique Experiences
One evening, we decided to splurge on a private gazebo dinner. For $150 plus tip, we found ourselves under a canopy of colorful lights and cloth sashes, with our own personal waiter checking our orders like a scene from a charming rom-com. The butler service was the cherry on top of our luxurious escapade—attentive, personable, and truly did not disappoint.
The resort’s dining options are impressively varied. We sampled dishes from an array of restaurants, but our top picks were definitely the upscale steakhouse (where we felt like food critics on a mission) and a quirky grab-and-go street-side eatery that proved you can have delicious bites in a casual setting. And with the all-inclusive package, every meal, snack, and cocktail arrived worry-free, letting us focus solely on soak-up-the-sun mode.
The Frozen Drink That Stole the Show
The zenith of our trip? The frozen drink named The Majestic! Imagine if an Orange Julius and a Bahama Mama had a sweet treat baby—this drink is exactly that: refreshingly delightful with or without a splash of alcohol. Every sip was like a mini-vacation in itself.
The Not-So-Majestic Bits
No getaway is without its challenges. Our room, for instance, could’ve used a bit more TLC:
Room Issues: The air conditioning in our room took a 4-hour vacation of its own during an afternoon heatwave, leaving us sweating and laughing nervously as we fanned ourselves with little more than our smartphone screens.
Bathroom Blues: Occasionally, the shower would let off a not-so-pleasant odor after use. Not exactly what you’d expect on a tropical escape.
Amenity Shortfalls: The promise of a pillow menu and a choice of room scents felt more like a rumor than reality as these extras were either limited or nowhere to be found.
Also, while the resort boasts its own slice of beach for guests, the expanse wasn’t entirely private, meaning we sometimes shared the sandy shores with more than just our special someone.

We walked away with our hearts full and a few funny stories to tell—plus a newfound love for that epic frozen drink, The Majestic! Overall, we’re giving this getaway a solid 3.5 stars.
